This month marks 5 years since I joined Caruso Physical Therapy and Nutrition. Some of you may know that before working here, I spent 9 years caring for Joe and Olivia’s two children, Noiella and Joseph James (J.J.), in their home. Around the end of COVID, when the kids were returning to in-person school and both medical receptionists were leaving the clinic, Olivia needed to find replacements. I decided to completely change directions and give it a try!
Five Years Ago…
I walked into this physical therapy clinic with excitement, nerves, and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Looking back today, I can honestly say this journey has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life.
Working in physical therapy is about so much more than exercises, stretches, and treatment plans. It’s about people. It’s about helping someone walk again after surgery, regain confidence after an injury, or simply return to doing the things they love most. Every patient who walked through our doors brought a unique story, challenge, and triumph — and I’m grateful to have been part of so many incredible journeys.
Over these five years, I’ve learned lessons that extend far beyond healthcare. I’ve learned patience from patients who never gave up. I’ve learned resilience from individuals overcoming setbacks. I’ve learned the importance of compassion, teamwork, and showing up every day ready to serve others with empathy and encouragement.
One of the greatest blessings…
One of the greatest blessings of this experience has been the people I’ve worked alongside. To my coworkers and mentors: thank you for your guidance, support, laughter, and friendship. The clinic has never just been a workplace — it has been a second home filled with people who genuinely care about one another and the community we serve.
To the patients who trusted us with their care, thank you for allowing us to be part of your recovery process. Your determination and perseverance continue to inspire me daily. Celebrating your victories — both big and small — has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career.
As I celebrate this milestone, I’m filled with gratitude for everything these five years have taught me. The experiences, relationships, and memories built here will always hold a special place in my heart.
CHEERS!
Here’s to continued growth, healing, and making a positive impact — one patient at a time.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey.
