Have you met Annmarie Fewkes, our Physical Therapist Assistant here at Caruso Physical Therapy and Nutrition? She was recently recognized by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) for her service to that organization.

Annmarie began volunteering with FSBPT in 2020 as a way to give back to her profession. She has found this to be a very rewarding way to stay up to date on current practices being taught to the new PTAs entering the workforce.

With FSBPT, Annmarie has written questions for the national licensing board exam for PTAs, reviewed and edited other volunteer questions, and served on the Exam Development Committee reviewing all PTA license exam content. Each year, FSBPT recognizes a few volunteers to join an elite group known as the Advanced Academy of Item Writers.

Annmarie was one of 2 volunteers in 2024 selected to earn this honor and in November she traveled to the FSBPT annual meeting in Iowa to be recognized and receive her certificate. She is pictured here receiving her award from the FSBPT President, Dave Relling.
